Karen L. Cummings started with the chamber
part-time in July, 1999 and became the Office Manager in January, 2000.
She is responsible for all the day-to-day fiscal operations of the Cape
Cod Chamber, Cape & Islands Community Development, Inc., Cape Cod
Economic Development Corp., and the Cape & Islands Economic
Development Council.
She has been a Cape Cod resident for over 30
years and resides in Marstons Mills with her husband and 2
sons.
Her background is in non-profit accounting
having worked at Community Action Committee of Cape Cod & Islands
for 10 years. Seven of those years were as a full-charge
bookkeeper and assistant to the fiscal manager/assistant director.
She is a graduate of Dennis-Yarmouth
Regional High School, has attended Cape Cod Community College taking
courses working toward an accounting degree. She completed
the Hospitality Management Certificate program at the college in
December, 1998. She has attended the Grant Management Systems
Conference in 2000 and 2001 to keep up-to-date with our accounting and
revolving loan software.
