Marketing Opportunity: Big E 2002 |
 |
The 82nd
edition of the largest festival in the Northeast will be held
at the Eastern States Expo in West Springfield from September
13 to September 29, 2002.
The Cape Cod Chamber will once again have space in the
Massachusetts Building for brochure distribution. This is an
excellent opportunity for you to promote your attraction,
restaurant or lodging property. This is especially true if you
have any fall or winter specials.
For an investment of only $75.00 I will take your info to
the show for the entire 17 days. I will need approximately
250-300 pieces of material.
Please let me know ASAP if you would like to participate. I
will not need payment or brochures until the end of August but
space is limited so just call, fax or e-mail me if you are
interested and we will bill you in August. Thank you! Arthur

A few
weeks ago, my wife and I spent about a week @ Cape Cod. We
really enjoyed the weather, tours, food and the shops. I
highly recommend the beauty of Cape Cod, and thought I would
let you know how well the people treated their guests.
Thank You, from Midwest Kansas

Cape Cod
Chamber of Commerce and Tee-Ball Golf Marketing Co. sponsor
Cape Cod "Hickory Heritage Classic" Golf Festival |
 |
In celebration of over 100 years of golf
on beautiful Cape Cod, Tee-Ball Golf, a golf marketing company
from Yarmouthport, and the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce are
sponsoring a unique celebration of the game on Sunday,
September 15, 2002, to benefit the Francis Ouimet Scholarship
Fund. The fund was established in 1947 by the 1913 US Open
champion and has enabled thousands of young men and women of
Massachusetts to pursue their dreams of higher education.
The very special golf outing will be held at the Donald
Ross designed Bass River Golf Course in South Yarmouth. Not
only will it be a day of relaxing and enjoyable golf but it
will also be one where all participants will pay homage to the
bygone era of knickers and hickory shafted clubs. Participants
will play the course using their own modern equipment in a
modified "scramble" format and will be required to play
according to the USGA rules of 1913, the year of Ouimet's
historic US Open victory. One of the most unusual rules to be
followed is the "stymie" rule where, instead of marking your
ball on a green so that it does not interfere with an
opponents line, the player can actually use his ball to block
or "stymie" the other player's shot.
