London promo features Cape Cod |
Over 400 billboards are now appearing in the London subway system featuring the Cape Cod as a perfect vacation destination. The promo is one organized by MOTT and the United Vacations (United Airlines) featuring a 7-day New England fly-drive from 303 pounds. |
Arthur Ratsy joined the largest New England delegation to date at WTM. Over 30 companies from the private and public sector joined MOTT and MassPort in London for four days of meetings with travel writers, top UK tour operators, airlines, conference/incentive organizers and members of the international press. Ratsy reports that Unijet is expanding its Cape Cod presence in their American brochure. |
Arthur Ratsy of the Cape Cod Chamber and Pat Fitzpatrick of the Provincetown Tourism Board ably represented our region on a three-day whirlwind mission in Berlin, Frankfurt and Hamburg Germany. Training operators, agents and meeting press, they were able to talk about the new fast ferry services and other features on Cape Cod. The German visitor is less concerned with the value of the mark vs. the dollar and interest in our region remains high. |
B&B COMMITTEE PLANS FEBRUARY 7th TEA |
Mark your calendar now and plan on joining the B&B owners and operators at an informational session about tea and its customs on February 7. The Belfry Inn in Sandwich will host the group as they learn from Donna and Ron Lasko about the rituals of high tea. Also, the committee will be sharing recipes. This event follows on the heels of the highly successful Professional Association of Innkeepers Road show held at the Chatham Wayside Inn in November. The B&B committee strives to provide resources and events to its members, as well as a little networking and sharing a little laughter. |
GROUP TOUR COMMITTEE LAUNCHES NEWSLETTER & UNITY JACKET |

The committee is also designing unity jackets for any interested member who is actively marketing Cape Cod. Contact Arthur Ratsy at 512 or [email protected] for details on getting a unity jacket. |
HOLIDAY CAMPAIGN FEATURED IN BOSTON GLOBE |
The marketing committee has wrapped up the holiday marketing campaign that invited visitors in the metro-Boston area to come to Cape Cod and shop in our unique stores, enjoy dinner at our fine restaurants and stay in a beautifully decorated inn or family hotel. Ads ran in the travel section of Boston Globe in early December and in the Thursday Calendar section of the Globe. |
