Lt. Gov. Swift Cuts Ribbon At Route 6/132 Info Center

Senator Henri Rauschenbach and Lt. Governor Jane Swift were on hand August 31 to celebrate the completed renovations of the Route 6 / 132 Hyannis Info Center.  This building, which was constructed by the Chamber in 1958, now features a redesigned visitor reception area, better accommodation for the Visitor Info Network computer, a public access bathroom and handicap accessibility to the front door.  Also, old, out of date equipment and fixtures were removed and a new meeting room facility was created in the walkout basement level of the building.  Two tenants now share space in the Info Center – the Arts Foundation f Cape Cod and Heritage Cape Cod.   Future plans call for creating a ticket sales outlet and a venue for cultural and artistic displays and information dissemination.

Chamber’s CVB produces Holiday Season Events Guide

The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce has published the latest edition of the Holiday Calendar of Events in a full color 20-page brochure.

“There is no place like Cape Cod to get you in the spirit of the holiday season” boasts the brochure.   We have listed numerous Thanksgiving celebrations, holiday arts and craft shows, plays, concerts, Christmas strolls and First Night celebrations for the enjoyment of our residents and visitors.
